"If you come to PEI, YOU MUST do this experience. We loved Jim and feel we gained a new friend."

BEACHCOMBER'S CLAM BOIL
Collect your evening meal as you stroll along the beach
The shoreline at low tide along the beautiful Boughton River in eastern Prince Edward Island is teeming with sea life...soft shelled clams, quahogs, bay scallops, razor clams, mussels, oysters, periwinkles and snails. Add in driftwood, stones and shore glass and it's a beachcomber's delight.
Jim Conohan grew up here and has harvested shellfish along the shore since he was a boy.
Join him beach-combing in search of your meal of whatever the river provides and find treasures you might want to take home with you to remind you of your Island experience.
Jim will show you how to spot the tell-tale holes where the clams are hiding and you'll dig until you find enough for what we call a "feed." If you find some periwinkles, crabs or mussels, Jim will add those to the pot to provide you with an opportunity to sample a wide range of Island shellfish.
Water will be provided with the meal but if you'd like to bring your own juice or soft drinks you're welcome to do so.
